My name is Ashley Countouriotis; I was born and raised in Cypress, Texas right outside of Houston. My family and I moved to Brenham in the summer of 2015 and we couldn't love it more!

My husband is an Austin firefighter and we have two children,  Alex (18) and Matthais(8). We are also foster parents and are blessed to currently have a sweet babe to love on.

 

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sam Houston State University.

"Eat 'em up Kats!" Then, graduated from Lamar University with a Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership. Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. My passion is being in the classroom and sharing my love for learning. I believe each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. I want to help children to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. I will assist children in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas. I have a vision of a world where people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between us, as the core of what makes life so fascinating.  

 

This is my seventh year teaching and sixth year here at Alton. I could not be more excited!
